This post is brought to you by teh molecule: polyester!

Do you know about polyester? It’s made of diols and dioic acids! Sometimes triols as well.

Eek, it’s been a while since I posted anything, hasn’t it. Well, here’s the lowdown:

Last weekend I went to a ‘demolition party,’ at a house soon to be torn down. Guests were invited to draw on the walls. It was fun, until some cool people turned up and started spraypainting giant penises all over our pictures. There was also a guy there who is going to be on the next series of that show where a chick dates nerdy guys… whatever it is.

Tuesday I tried to buy a nice, standard, white shirt, but accidentally bought a shirt you can only wear with a tuxedo (which I don’t have, funnily enough). Whenever I try to buy a white shirt it turns out wrong: either you can see my nipples through it and it therefore only works with a t-shirt on underneath it (lame) or it’s too big (worse), or it’s a frickin’ tuxedo shirt (ridiculous). Shopping sucks.

Yesterday my university supervisor came down, and I didn’t screw up my lesson so she was moderately impressed. (Note my incredible ability to deny that I’ve actually done a good job of anything. I can admit it when I’ve done a good of job parking the car, or cleaning the house, or tying a tie - but not anything that really matters.)

Today E and I saw Inglorious Basterds. Great film. Extremely violent, but even when it’s violent it’s still hilariously slapstick. You laugh, and then you think maybe you shouldn’t be laughing because it’s something really gross. Which is cool. Plus, the bit where Brad Pitt is pretending to be Italian is definitely the funniest moment in any Tarantino movie yet. “Bahn-giorno.”

OK, see you later!

  1. Totally agree with u! Was watching another show tonight and I found myself drifting back to that scene and giggling uncontrollably. So funny.
