Webloggers #6 - The Curse of the Choc Marshmallow

Hiya there folks. Wow, this must be the first time I haven’t blogged the meetup on the same night. I’m feeling a bit slack, y’know? So, like, I thought Miss Mauds was going to be a coffee shop, but it was actually a restauraunt, and it was completely packed when we got there so we were going to go somewhere else, but then everybody left and it was OK. I think they didn’t like us because we took up their biggest table and only ordered chips and hot chocolate, but whatever.

The people who came along were Bret, David, Robot CORE, Liz (formerly Myrtle McMagnet), Marisa, and Anthony. We talked about the upcoming blog seminar, which already has a venue and key presenters, about Jack van Tongeren, and about how to find a bush pig when you really need one. It was fun.

So, er, make sure you come to the next one, ‘yall.

  1. Are you sure that’s not Robert Kore?

(Someone was a fan of my old blog… but not so much of me.)

  2. Apologies for being late and not talking enough to everybody (or not not talking enough to everybody). New faces, old faces. Was good. I enjoyed.

Rob-you got a parody site, respect.

BTW how are we going on the meme idea? Monthly? Alliterative and leisurely

  3. Perhaps we can get Jack van Tongeren to give a speech on how weblogs can be a valuable tool in the world of terrorism and racism? :D

Oh yeah, Miss Maud’s also had a hotel too! I never knew that.

  4. You serious? Miss Maud’s has a hotel? Oh well, as long as the rooms aren’t full of little dolls in funny pants, it should be okay.

Hmm. Memes. Thinking caps on, everyone…

  5. I go to uni next to the hotel at RPH- you should see the stupid uniforms the girls have to wear. I think Miss Maud is a bitch, myself, as she inconsistantly has available her baguette of the day…get us hooked then take it away, why don’t you.

  6. Is the hotel you guys are talking about the one next door called the “Swedish Hotel”? I walked past it thinking it sounded too ominous and too much like a porno studio. It probably is one ……

  7. Also (cos I am so scatterbrained I forget to say everything at once) when is this meme thingy coming up?

  8. That’s the hotel I’m talking about. I would stay there myself only for the Miss Maud’s toilet paper.

  9. What’s so special about Miss Maud’s toilet paper? I have yet to use the lavatory conveniences there so kindly please do elaborate and enlighten me.

  10. I can’t say I have either, although I’d like to think Miss Maud’s to be exclusive enough to have their own print on their toilet paper. It would be sweet. :)
