You suck, people!!

Work, allergies, Pisceans, Shrek, X-Press, Rob Totten and the Citizen’s Electoral Council, Rove Live, underage smokers, Apple iPod, NASA, the Freemasons, Superman, suicide bombers, JK Rowling and people who don’t answer their emails. You suck.

You wouldn’t know the difference between Jim Morrison and Van Morrison.

  3. Jim Morrison - rock god, buried in Paris somewhere alongside Oscar Wilde
Van Morrison - still alive last I knew and responsible for a very sexy song called “Brown Eyes Girl’ which still turns me on.

    *hugs* sorry you’re feeling horrible.

  4. I was making the joke that Jim Morrison has way more credibility than Van Morrison - but the more I think about it the more unfeasible that point seems. I’ll try and think of a better insult for next week, hey?

  5. Van Morrison kicks Jim Morrison’s arse.
Case in point - “Come on, come on, come on, come on now touch me, babe.” WTF!?!?!?!?!
Also, Jim Morrison is printed on mirrors.

  6. Well, purists wouldn’t consider that a real part of Jimmy’s work… it being complete crap. But you have to give some credence to him for ‘Ghost Song’ and sticking his willy out a lot.

  7. As if Jim Morrisson could ever TOUCH the excellence of Van Morrison. Sure, Moondance sucks but Astral Weeks and the shit after that (as far as I am aware) is gold, yo. Sure, The Doors have a few good songs, but there’s not a lot there to deconstruct, wheras with Van you can sit for hours taking in the beauty of what he’s saying and how he’s saying it. And that’s coming from somebody who isn’t into highbrow formalism. I just dig him.

  8. That’s very true. I think though, that it’s an issue of second-order effects, because Jimmy was a much better example for future generations. See:

The Doors —> The Cruel Sea, Marilyn Manson, Soundgarden, Sonic Youth.
Van Morrison —> umm, Fleetwood Mac? You tell me.
