And then there was grey.

Blue-grey is a bit too ‘guy’. I think I will make a burgundy version as well.

I am starting to think I missed a lot not watching Buffy. That show is very fan-worthy, and the reruns have me totally sucked in. What I notice is (I think) it’s filmed on real film and with dim/natural lighting, which makes it look classier than everything else. Also the scriptwriting is far less cheesy that I’d thought. This could be the reason why I feel so disconnected and alienated - everyone else has been watching Buffy, and I have grown up Buffyless.

woe is me / squee squee squee

  1. wow, I come back to say hi again after what, 3 hours and you’ve completely changed? lol. I’m glad I’m not the only person in this timezone awake at this hour - plus i have work today. at 9.
As for buffy - I have the entire set. mainly so I don’t have to watch re-runs because they NEVER put them in order. maybe it’s just a fan thing - you have to watch from the beginning to understand. THOU MUST GO WATCH BUFFY NOW. I think I’ve had way too much caffiene.

  2. You know, I grew up Buffyless too :-( Fundamentally disconnected from my generation, I’ve been driven to a life of pointless drinking episodes and dodgey RSVP dates …

Mind you, my flatmate and by girlfriend both have Buffy on DVD now so I pray there’s still time to remedy the situation. And SMG is a hottie :)

  3. I notice that on the side panel it says you’re 22, now. Did I miss the birthday post? Or is it in preparation for your impending 22-ness?

As for Buffy, I was obsessed in my teens but couldn’t get into it after the first season. Yes; I’m a freak.

  4. I think I must have been right about Buffy then. As for my birthday, it happened in October last year. A quick search for ‘birthday’ in the archives reveals nothing written about it, so it must have been pretty boring.

Meanwhile, am I swooning or what because someone actually cares and it’s you.

  5. In that case, Happy (belated) Birthday, Mark.

  7. I hear you. I didn’t watch Buffy either and I used to cringe when I thought of it cos I never liked Sarah Michelle Gellar in the first place but it is less cheesy than a lot of other shows out there and now I am in danger of being sucked in. Esp after reading fanfiction about Spike/Buffy Nfic…. that pairing….
