I was pleasantly surprised by Arthur; I didn't think Freeman's wimpish charm was overwhelmed at all. The Guide entries were hilarious, and were entirely in the spirit of the books -- wild tangents that somehow manage to stay relevant to the plot, or better still, to drive it in a new and unpredictable direction.
