Meme: 5 strange habits

from Clare

1. You know what? This is really hard.
1. I guess I’m more normal than I thought I was.
1. That has been a long-term goal of mine.
Okay, let me really try: 1. Always wearing boots, even in the height of summer.
2. My toothbrush must be rinsed before the toothpaste is applied, and then again afterwards.
3. Obsessively watching ‘What Not to Wear’.
4. Lining things up with the edge of the table.
5. Standing with my hands in my back pockets. (See, we’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. I’m just too average.)

plus some Bash.org:

[sev] so I was walking through the city with a bunch of roses in one hand and a bag of potaotes in the other, and I had something like five people stop me and ask if I was going to propose to an irishman 8\

  2. I too rinse my toothbrush before and after the toothpaste is applied.

Does that still qualify as a strange habit?

  3. If rinsing is a strange habit, what about the want to brush it dry? As long as you’re only sticking it in the wrong end, the end without the teeth made of enamel, brushing with the tootbrush can’t be weird.

  4. Shelley - Why? What Not To Wear rocks. In the last ep one of them stuck their hands inside the woman’s bra and jiggled. Awesome.

    Mintox - It’s increasingly normal, I think.

Switch - I just don’t know why I do it. Is it to clean the toothbrush, and if so, of what? Or is it to enhance toothpaste adhesion? Or do I hate the taste of toothpaste so much I just want to wash it off? Maybe I knew long, long ago.

  5. Oh it totally rocks. I share both of those, er, habits. It worries me that they’re considered strange…

Actually, I tend to do 4 [very OCD] & 5 [beltloops, pockets] as well. And I used to always wear boots…in the tropics.

The booby jiggling wasn’t as exciting for me. I’d probably slap the bitch who did that to me on international tele.

  6. Rinsing before you put on the toothpaste could have something to do with wanting to wash off any after effects of roaches having sex or chewing on the bristles.

  7. The above comment is why I keep my toothbrush in a little travel case between uses. Of course, there is always the issue of microbiological ickies attacking…rinse RINSE more!!!!

  8. a) it must be an OCD thing, I think.

    b) Thanks Switch. Way grossed out now.

    c) My toothbrush case is so skeezy I think I should just brave it with the roaches.

    now, update time…
