All I have to say is, anyone who truly loved me would get me the Red Dot ‘piano mat’ for Christmas. I’m itching to do an album of piano mat songs. There would even be a cover of ‘Been Caught Stealing’ by Jane’s Addiction.

  1. I can just see the pile of piano mats from all your admirers. And you’re all, “What the fuck am I supposed to do with fifty piano mats?!”

But perhaps I am mistaken, and there is no number of piano mats that is too many piano mats.

  2. I’m not even sure what a piano mat is… o O ???

  3. Lizzy - Yep. More than one for each foot means I will have to start a Piano Mat Orchestra. Hell yeah.

Winter - Like, it’s a mat where you stand on it and it makes sound. Like a piano floor thingo, but portable.

  4. myspace is so crap that it won’t let me respond to your comment so i am using your space instead.

you can be the first to see my new blog when it is ready - which will probably be tomorrow.

i am resigining from myspace, i’m sick of the stupid friends crap and it’s totally embarrassing to be at all associated with it. ha!

i’m not sure the new blog will be any more entertaining though (although there will now be more pictures).

is it ok to use though and although in the same sentence one after the other? i bet it isn’t.

  5. Kewl! (I would have put a bit more punctuation between the two, but you’re doing okay IMHO.)

  6. An album of piano mat songs!?! What a great idea! I would love to see what a music video for an album like that would look like.

  8. Colonel E - it would involve legwarmers and 80s hair for SURE.

Serrin - Below is my comment for your site. Blogger was being a biatch and there was no anon login, so I couldn’t post it.

Schvendes - hawt. And a great band. If you haven’t heard their song ‘Nothing I Can Do’, you haven’t lived.

Nick Cave - Sorry, I just. don’t. get. him.

Boondock Saints - The drag scene with Willem Dafoe? Classic.

  10. Oh, I have now enabled anon comments. :)

Nick Cave: I listen to his more accessible stuff - Red Right Hand and Carny are great songs that spring to mind. The other stuff (random noises and toneless singing) I tend to avoid.

  11. Oh man, just like Big but with more Perry Farrell.

If you played Janes Addiction on a giant toy piano mat I would probably fall for you a little.

  12. nick cave hasn’t sung tonelessly since the early 80’s.

  13. Winter - it happens A LOT, dunnit?

Serrin - Tomas loves ‘Stagger Lee’. I’ve only heard it once.

Lucy - Just a little?! Would it be more if I played something by The Veronicas?

Tomas - What a short, bucolic comment. Dude.

  14. Stagger Lee is GREAT and isn’t what I was referring to when I said “toneless”. In fact I’m not sure what exactly I was referring to, because as formerly mentioned I don’t listen to it. Hmm.

Carny is my favourite. And he did a cover of What a Wonderful World with Tom Waits which is kind of funny/cool.

I stand by Nick Cave but probably not as fervently as Tomas does.

Blog Comments - the new chat forums. Someone flame somebody!
