Ross - Clare would have known, but I have no idea. According to the internet, pound cake gets its name from having a pound each of sugar, butter, flour and eggs. In other words, lots of butter.

Tomas - Ta!

Clare - It was all they damn well had in Woolworths. Not that I'm complaining really. It did a kickarse job.

V & Julia - Yep, it's brilliant right now. Warm, but not too hot like it was in January. There are yummy treats in the fridge and tunes on the stereo. Suckers!

Winter - Pies roXor. Making the cake was pretty easy in the end, but if you have a mixer it would be a cinch. Flickr me photos next time you make candy.

mmm, that does sound tasty. I've not really tried making cakes; I can make cookies, pies, and candy though. It's always nice when a culinary experiment turns out well. :)
