These links take you to a site full of pictures taken by a Ukrainian woman who rides her motorbike through the no-go zone around Chernobyl. You really need to have a look. There are lots of half-caved-in houses, derelict apartment blocks and nameless abandoned villages. And there’s one shot of a creepy homeless guy passed out on the grass. It’s unbelieveable.

There are rivers full of abandoned container ships.

I’m trawling through wikipedia reading about other nuclear accidents right now. I thought that there were just a few, but I was way wrong.

Yeah, Kraftwerk’s live version of Radioactivity kinda woke me up to that. They listed quite a few and I was like “duuuuuuuuuuude” when I checked them out.
I am such a nerd.

Egads, I am such a nerd.
…I just read what I wrote.

I did exactly the same thing, Mark.
And then, for reasons best known to myself,I spend two hours reading about plane crashes.
Let us all be nerds together.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets lost in wikipedia tangents. I went to look something up the other day and got side tracked into reading about Romanian royalty for a half hour. I completely forgot whatever it was I went to look up in the first place.

Just remarkable. Where did you find this?
…
Not sure what else to say about this that could possibly matter.
Thank you.

:)
I found it while reading Noe Venable’s website. She’s a singer from the US.
