just gave me an ad for online dating with the title: “25 and still single?” :(( Grr! Is this what targeted advertising is for? Insulting you in a more personal way? Highlighting your inadequacies in a more detailed and comprehensive way? Wot a load of bollox.

I get the same ad (aged 42), and they also think I’m interested in girls. Conclusion - the fear factor about Facebook advertising is over-rated. If they looked at my musical interests, friends etc, they’d know…

Well… you know… you are.
LOL @ James. Facebook says you’re interested in girls because Facebook wants you to be interested in girls.
I’m getting ads for sexy single women. They don’t look much like sexy.

James - the next big thing: homosexuality detection software!
Rin - I know I am single, but I’m not *still* single, in the sense that there’s something wrong with that. :(

I’m in my 40s so I get ads that offer me introductions to ladies in their 30s. Do the 30 year old ladies get offered guys in their 40s? *Shakes head sadly*. I think their ads say, ‘We have thousands of affluent single men’.
