Xmas lewt, etc.

I should have never bought a Playstation. They’re pretty addictive, aren’t they? Much more addictive than serious work one needs to do for university.

Here’s a list of stuff I got for Christmas: a camera with anti-blur mode, egg cups, a tuxedo t-shirt, and these awesome shirts from Becky and Julia:

It’s a diver who has the hots for a mermaid,

and a list of technologies that we were supposed to have by now but annoyingly don’t. The hoodie is from Becky & Julia too.

Another thing I have been doing is trying to write songs for slow dancing to at high school formals/proms. It’s hard, actually, because you don’t have very many words to get your idea across when the song is that slow. If you’re not careful, you get off topic.

What have I been doing lately? Not updating, that’s one.

Other stuff: um, I am in Perth for Christmas. Spending most of the time working on my thesis, and the remainder watching Buffy divxes. My drums are here, so sometimes I play them badly. It’s cool, y’know?

Might go diving in Freo on Thursday.

So, it’s not very interesting when I write about it like that, but I’m having a fun time. Yeah.

HHHHHHHHobart.

OK, this is actually a photo from Sydney, but isn’t it great?

Eight to a room in the hostel :( And they put girls in with us - that’s just rude.

The place was called The Pickled Frog, and it kinda sucked. It was full of dumb Aussies and people who sat around watching the big screen tv all day. The bathrooms were dirty.

It used to be a pub. A very good one, I hear.

University of Tasmania. The ASCP was a sweet conference, and I got to hang out with some cool people from all over Australia. My paper went OK, but I think I will have to crank it up a notch next year.

A local guy had some pictures of philosophers on display. I think this is Descartes. Maybe.

The conference dinner was fun, but I didn’t bring my camera. There was chocolate cake.

Final panel: the future of continental philosophy. The panel featured Fiona Jenkins, who is a great philosopher and dead gorgeous to boot.

Um, and now I’m in WA. We might have the conference here next year, in which case I might end up doing a lot of the legwork for it. Great!
